I have about 10 of my recent shots (hastily processed, so I
ended up clipping the hell out of most of the histograms - will correct
them over the next several days) at the top of my website, for any who are
interested in seeing a variety of objects (almost all at 60-minute
exposures) shot with the Fuji Super HQ 200. Link: http://home.woh.rr.com/pfcf/astro_photos.htm
I
think we have a winner film here. My opinion only...YMMV...

P.S. I echo the sentiments of trying a much longer
shot. I'd like to shoot something in the 90-120 minute range to
compare...of course, I now have the same problem as everyone else on this
list, lousy skies and likely to stay that
way...

That's all I do. Don't
have a CCD, maybe next year.

Thanks,
I like it. I'm really gun-shy about processing, so I kept it real minimal
here. I plan to butcher it more later. This was simply an informational
type post regarding the HQ200 film which I think responded really well.
Like I told Pat, I'd love to be able to get a 3 or 4 hour shot and see if
the curve continues.

We're
going to be in the same situation, for different reasons. Does the Pacific
Northwest ring a bell? 8-) We can hope for some holes during the next 6-7
months, but some years those holes happen when the Moon is full. And of
course, some of our summer skies get so clouded over with smoke from fires
that it's like there never was an imaging season at all.

I agree, that's all we can
do.
Thanks, Alan
