Brian, Dom and Chris - I too have the Zenitar. My
success was less than yours. Mine came calibrated incorrectly at infinity. There
is an internet site that explains how to fix it but I was not happy to have to
do that. You have to remove the lens shade and rubber focus barrel grip and
recalibrate it then put the shade back on but mine now needs to be slightly
loose or it binds the lens just as it approaches infinity.
Now, the company's service was EXCELLENT and they
were very supportive of taking it back if I couldn't fix it. Also, the lens
produces excellent pics for sure!
Last point, I got mine new on ebay for
$160.

Subject: Re: [APML] Shopping for a
fisheye ( Nikon adaptable) advice
Hi Brian !
Hi
all, Im looking for a relatively inexpensive fisheye lens for my
girlfriends Nikon, im wondering what offbrands are adaptable, or even if
anyone has one they might want to get rid of.
Ive searched under
Nikkor, Nikon, but im not willing to shell out 500.oo on a
lens.
Any advice on
brands?
Thanks, Brian
