Subject: [APML] OT: Aurora images from 60
degrees North
I hope everyone isn't too tired of viewing aurora images
yet!
On the night between November 7th and 8th I was lucky enough to
catch a few
hours break in the clouds allowing me to view the spectacular
Aurora
activity. I also managed to take almost 1GB worth of images (using
my new
EOS 20D) of the activity. Here's an excerpt of the images to give
an
impression how it looked like from my latitude of almost 60 degrees
North:

Notice
how the activity covers the whole sky (most of the shots are towards
zenith
or south) and that it was strong enough and with such rapid movement
that I
had to use exposures as short as 4 seconds for some of the shots!
Best
regards,
Arne
