Very nice Chris! I can't wait to see some long exposures with your
new toy.

Subject: [APML] OT: The Merope Nebula in
Taurus
Hi Everyone,
As most of you know or suspect, film
photography for us is one of many of our passions on photographing the
night sky. We also image with CCD, webcams, and Digital SLR's as
well. We simply cannot get enough of the night sky. Recently,
we acquired a Canon 10D digital camera, and I have been experimenting with
it on the 12.5 inch Newtonian. There is a huge draw toward this
camera, it has a huge nearly film sized chip, produces 37mB files, and is
FAST. Here is one of our very first experiments with this new camera,
a shot of the blue tendrils around the star Merope in the Pleaides. It is
merely a taste of what can be done with this camera, this is a full color
image, at high resolution in only 10 minutes!
