[APML] Re: OT Kendrick heater problem

I had some similar issues and concluded that the power supply wasn't able to keep up with 4 dew heaters full on. However, if your "cold" power supply can't provide 12V with just one dew heater one, then something's wrong, perhaps bad power supply. Yes, the controller plug goes into a car lighter outlet, and that would be an obvious way to see if it's the power supply.

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has seen this problem and can advise me on how to fix it.
I am using a Kendrick Dew heater system (Power supply, standard Controller, 11",5",4" and 2" heaters).
With all or anyone of the heaters plugged into the controller the 13V output connector on the power supply drops from
13V to 6V and none of the heater are generating heat. If I unplug "all" of the heaters from the controller the power at the power supply output connector comes back to 13V. The red LED on the controller stays on with the heaters plugged in but it may require lower voltage to operate.
Does anyone know if the controller plug will fit a car cigarette lighter outlet? I thought I could test the controller and one of the heaters using it to try and determine the problem.

 Thanks, Joe Schaefer
