Thkx for your comments. Initially when I scanned/processed the images
they were okay in the day but later at night I again found a red cast to the
background and did some quck adjustments. That's why they show clipped on
the left. Bummer, guess my eyes are starting to show their age more. :)
As for the red rings around the brightest stars I first noted this on
the prints. I wonder if enough light is getting through to excite the red
layer somehow.
Yup, NGC253 shouldn't have even been posted. It was past Meridian, low
in the sky enough to be effected by the fog in the area. Of all the prints
that came back only NGC253 had a sky blye background. That tells you how
much light was reflected in those 90mins, even with the DS filter it came
through...joe :)
