[APML] H-Alpha aurora photography?

Has anyone tried shooing an aurora with TP with an H-Alpha filter?
I am just thinking that there may be some reds in there that are not
being caught and that the TP could be added to the red channel from a
colour photograph.
Have the images shot with the old Supra 400 caught more reds than say
the Superia 800 film?
Would the 20-50 stars that come through on an aurora shot be enough for
Registar to lock onto?
Just a thought after spending 20 minutes outside...
