Subject: [APML] M33 on Supra 400
Hello all,
This shot of M33 is off the first roll of Supra 400 that I've ever had the chance to use. I can see why it was so popular....it picked out the H-alpha regions really easily.
Taken over two nights, consisting of three 60 minute exposures using a Meade LX90 8" SCT with focal reducer (f/6.3 or so) and Olympus OM-1. Guided with ST-4 autoguider...and I was happy to see that it did such a good job guiding (A2-A3 errors) after having spent some time tweaking the mount and troubleshooting a very intermittent faulty connector on the ST-4.
Processed using Registar, Photoshop CS, and SGBNR. I had to crop down the shot since one of the frames was taken at a 45 degree tilt with respect to the others, so this is ~1/3 of a 35mm frame.
Please let me know how it looks...I'm still trying to nail down web presentation.
Thanks,
Jason
