It can only help. I'm definitely getting a complete hump now. Hey, that
sounds weird doesn't it? 8-)

It has to be either that Taurus or the film. But I'm getting about the
same results with Supra and E200, and they are consistent with results
I've gotten for years with Supra in my LX200s. You yourself mentioned
that Supra does not perform well at these focal lengths. Do you
remember the Bubble shots I posted about 3 years ago? I fell asleep
during an exposure and ended up taking a 5 1/2 hour shot. The corrector
plate dewed over and tracking got a bit erratic, but it showed MANY
more stars than a 180-200 (can't remember now) minute shot of the same
object, using the same equipment, on the same roll of film. While it
may not do well at picking up faint nebulosity, it does not stop
recording light. Ever, at the focal lengths I shoot at.
Could be my sky conditions too. Most nights I easliy see all the Little
Dipper stars, some nights I can see the 5.6 mag star between the two
brighter stars, with averted vision. That's the best I can hope for
these days when I need glasses to read just about anything. Seems like
we have a thin haze of smoke, humidity or whatever hanging around more
and more.

Nope, it's a straight through shot. As long as the view port is moved
out of the way during an exposure, and the guide port is not all the
way down, they don't obstruct any light.
