Tried that one already. Tried the Taurus reducer also. Not nearly
enough in-focus. I'd have to go to a side by side system and I'm not
going to do that, at least for awhile. Off axis guiding is way too
trouble-free and I love it. I have been considering trading the 102 for
a FSQ-106, maybe next year, although I'd probably have to put off
getting involved in dark-side imaging for awhile. Shorter focal length
but faster optics, and wider field. For now, I'll take advantage of
what prime focus shooting with the 102 can offer. I'm used to long
exposures having used 10" and 12" LX200s for years, that's why an
autoguider is so important to me.
