[APML] OT: Looking for a telextender

Looking for a specific telextender called a Minolta MD 300L which is for
lenses 300mm and greater. I'm going to be photographing the Transit of Venus
and have a 500mm f5.6 Mak lens from Celestron which I plan to double to
1000mm and f11. Trick is - I cannot find one used ANYWHERE on the net and to
buy new would cost more than the lens and camera cost together.

Can anyone direct me to a group like APML that deals with camera equipment?
I joined the Yahoo group for Minolta MD and posted the question there
already.
