Hi Marco
I have a little experience with it becouse it is used in a photo lab here to scan all the negatives and slides. I didn't use it personally, but i spoke a lot with the owner of the lab and told him what exactly i was looking for astrophoto films... Well, he claims that he did his best effords, and tried a "raw" scan. The results were not very good, with the shadows not recorded very well. Also it has a lot of noise, specially seen in normal photos (in the shadows, again).
I think that this scanner isn't the appropiate for AP. It lacks a good Dmax value. Now i choose to make all my scans in a Polaroid SS35, wich with only 2700dpi generates better results. If i'll have the money, i'll go with a PSS400+. Another option could be a Minolta scanner... 5400dpi, drange of 4.5, below the US$1000 at B&H. I haven't read much reviews about it, but as long as i know the only problem is noise (a little more noticeable than in other scanners, but tolerable).
Hope it helps...
