Re: [APML] R200SS flattener question
Thanks Teïva and Bobby,
I thought it might be too big for a 2" focuser, as all Vixen's focusers
are 60mm. It's hard to determine exact sizes based on the drawings that
accompany the direct-wide adapter. He is using a Feathertouch on a 16"
f3.75, so I will mention to him that it isn't going to fit. Thanks for the
input!

John I've done this setup on a homebuilt 8" f/4.25. I used it above a
lumicon CC and Lumicon 2" OAG in hopes of improving vignetting.
It won't fit a 2" focuser and it needs the 60mm direct wide adaptor IIRC. I
used an AP 2.7" newt focuser with a machined adaptor to fit it to my setup.
Everything worked well but I used a 2.7" OAG. That put the guidestar waaaay
off-axis. It had to be at exact focus for the st-4 to guide and the
guidestar was basically a seagull except at critical focus. I consider
myself lucky to have gotten it to work. But it's very do-able; especially if
the guy is going the seperate guidescope direction.........then all he'll
have to worry about is flexure.
