Re: [APML] Southern Lights???

Pulled in the driveway tonight and notices a pale green glow along the southern horizon and some shimmery red curtains of light extending up perhaps 30-40 degrees.  The display lasted for about maybe 30-45 minutes before clouds washed everything out.  Shot a roll of PJ400 with a 28mm fisheye, we'll see what happens.

Oh, by the way, I live in Wisconsin - 43 degrees NORTH latitude.  The aurora - on the southern horizon.  What's THAT all about?

That was about South Texas finally getting some really clear skies for the first time since dirt was created (well.... maybe not that long ago) and the sky slowly mushing out during my photography for no apparent reason.  The north (seen from 90 miles west of San Antonio) up through zenith just didn't look right after about 10 pm and then cleared up again about midnight.  I couldn't pinpoint if there was collor or not.  They sky was just brighter for no apprent reason.  I'll find out Monday if my film was affected by it.
