RE: [APML] OT: Photo Printers, recommendations?
I tried an Epson 2200 at Comp USA and it was very impressive. Does anyone
know what the average cost in ink is for printing? How many 8x10's can be
printed with a set of cartridges or better yet what is an average cost of
ink per square foot of printed photos? I've had my own B&W darkroom for
years because control of the printing process is as important as making the
negative in the camera, but with digital, most of the control of the
printing process is done on the computer screen in Photoshop. So unless
having my own printer is much cheaper than sending digital files out for
printing, in my case, having my own printer doesn't make sense.
