[APML] (OT) Colour profile of scanner

Dear All,

being unable to scan the astroslides on my own I have to rely on a photoshop
service.
If I can get from them the colour profile the use to scan the picture, would I
get any advantage while I process the picture on photoshop or any other image
processing software?
