Well, I wasn't sure which alternative I liked best so I decided to

Thank you very much for the detailed feedback and advice. I find it
difficult to find the right color balance and amount of stretching. I
will have another go on the processing and see if I can address the
issues you pointed out. That will however have to wait until next week
as I have a total eclipse of the Moon to attend to this weekend! :-)
