My 2 cents: I don't see anything wrong with adding a web forum support,
provided that nothing changes for those (including myself) who'd like to
continue using the vanilla mailing list version. I too have access only to
a lousy 56K modem connection (despite living downtown a 600000-population
city), and have a time-based fee.
As for the list focus, well I wouldn't change anything either, including
occasional CCD diversions (i.e. image processing tricks), which may benefit
film users as well. If CCD's are to take over film, so be it, but let
things happen just by themselves.
On the other hand, I would rearrange the archives so as to mangle the
members' e-mail addresses, because this spamming thing is getting a real
pain the butt. :-))
