I never mount the slides, Augie.   My film scanner takes them just the way they come out from the lab.

I am planning on making the switch from negative film to slide film,
do to the fact there isn't much negative film out there thats good for
astro photography.
I am using a Pentax 6x7 camera and what I would like to know is:
when shoot medium format slide film do you mount the
negatives? If so where do you get your slide mounts and what type
do you use?
