For what it's worth, I would hate to loose the present 
mail-based version.  I tend to find the web-based forums
to be header to use.  If the mailing list feature works
then I'd be neutral on the change.  

If the possible change makes life easier for the moderator,
and meets a need for some members, so be it.  But please
don't loose the mail access.
