We are drifting way off topic, so I'll make this my last onlist post on this
topic.
I sincerely hope the people at Evrsoft are honest above board folks. The
trusting part of my soul would like to think so. But on the other hand,
there are perhaps a million (for the sake of argument) talented programmers
worldwide who create the programs we find usefull (in all platforms and
languages). Somewhere in that million are those who drift toward criminal
activity (no accusation at Evrsoft, just playing with numbers here). If
only 1/10th of a percent of these programmers are doing malicious code, that
leaves 1000 bad guys out these agressively seeking a way to tap into you
cradit card number or bank account. You can call me paranoid with good
reason. Several years ago, a trojan was discovered on my previous computer
which routinely phoned home off my system. Fortunately, I kept no lucrative
data on my computer so no harm was done. But it illustrated how this stuff
can get in and operate. So when a trojan appeared on Evrsoft stuff, I think
you can agree I had reason to be suspicious.
Just be cautious folks!
Now back to our regularly scheduled wishing for clear new moon skies.
