This absolutely makes my point for me. Backwards compatability is never
assured but forward compatibility is. Therefore my suggestion to code to
the lowest level possible is the best practice.

A more permenent fix would be to stop using Frontpage. Ask any
professional web-developer. It commonly produces non-standard HTML that
can cause problems.

Really ? I seem to recall you busting my chops for using an older
version of IE that apparently demands a little more adherence to the
HTML standard than newer version. And furthermore *you* just *knew* that
the version was the problem. Face it David upgrading the browser is not
the fix here. Fixing the HTML to conform to the standard is.
Besides in your narrow universe *everyone* uses Micro$soft and everyone
spends most of their free time buying new computers and/or upgrading
software and firmware. Sadly enough this is not the reality. There are
many different operating systems in use world wide and if the standard
is followed then functionality will not be broken.
