     IE 3.X versions read Java no problems.... it's DHTML and XML that don't 
jive... why don't you just limit everyone to IE 1.X? Tables, Font Size/Color... 
the 'Script Kiddies' are moving in leaps and bounds... lead, follow or get the 
hell out of the way!!!
