RE: [APML] Iowa Leonids

Bert,

I love that shot...I wish I had the foresight to do some more interesting
framing.

I used Provia 400f, Superia and NPZ 800. I used three OM-1s, one with a
28mm/2.0 (a cheapie) and zuiko 50mm/1.8s on the other two all on a tracking
platform(kenko sky memo)...I didn't really know what to expect with the full
moon exposure-wise so what I usually did was to close the shutter after
approximately 3 minutes or if I saw a meteor fly by. However most of the
exposures ended up being between 1 minute and 2 minutes although after
reading the posts I should have probably shortened it to a minute exposure
maximum...

I did update my site with info for each shot, although my paperwork that
night was a little suspect as I was trying to run three cameras, double
checking the alignment on the mount, checking frost(i used dew heaters on
all lenses) and keeping track of how many meteors I saw!

I'm new to this stuff so it was mostly experimentation...One camera was out
of focus for two rolls...most of the npz and superia were extremely over
exposed. I haven't experimented too much with processing mostly I just
cropped the shots, and the negs I scanned in at +1--probably should have
stock to the 0 setting and attempted some level adjusting...

It was a fun learning experience, I'm looking forward to the next one!
(without a moon!)

Hi Bob:
Well you caught a lot more than I did (

Nice work!! What films, lenses, exposures did you use? I gather from the
images that you used both negative and positive film?
