The only good thing about
all this bad weather is that I have time to try to improve on my processing
skills.
Not being satisfied with my
first attempt at processing my M16 image I gave it another try. With this
attempt I was
able to apply same new
techniques (new to me) using "Correcting for Vignetting" by Tom Diana and
"Reducing Star Bloat" by
Bert
Katzung
The one concern I
had after using Bert's process is I noticed rings around the stars that were
adjusted, but only at high magnification.
Here is my second attempt:

I was happy with the yellow
stars that showed up in my new image.
