Not that I have noticed but advice from I believe Chuck Vaughn was to use
thin scotch tape on the pressure plate for the TP camera. I've done this for
my 35mm TP but not my med format. Both seemed well focused. Just be sure you
keep that TP dry down in that Florida soup <g> Even when it's sitting around
not on the telescope.

On my composites I usually do a couple of interations of TP-color
composites. One of them will usually be a luminance composite typically at
30-40% opacity and the other is often a color composite of normal
combination. The color data will be much more important for this combo so
therefore the need for stacking.
