RE: [APML] Field Rotation on a LX-200 with wedge?

Christopher,

Field rotation will not be a problem for a wedge mounted LX200 as long as you have good polar alignment. A good drift alignment will allow you to do exposures well over an hour.

Subject: [APML] Field Rotation on a LX-200 with wedge?

Hello all I am new to this and would like some help on this problem:

I have a 10"LX-200 ( Was owned by Dr. Clay Sherrod is said to track over 6 hours) but my fiend said that a wedge mounted Lx-200 will have a "Field Rotation problem" and to get a G11 or a German EQ, that would be the only way to do exposures over 5 minuets..

My question will the wedge mounted LX-200 with good a polar alignment have Field Rotation problems??

I thank everybody's comments...

Thanks

Christopher
