I have been using Scenalyzer (for about a year now) to capture DV clips from
tape to hard disk.

It is an excellent program that automatically reads and parses an entire
tape into clips/scenes from which you may choose which ones to capture to
disk.

I'm not sure that is has much applicability to this list, though.
