Rockett's temp controller works great.

Build two. One calibruated for B&W and the other for color.

Instead of using a LED for the power indicator cut and use a extention cord that has a femaile end that has a built-in light when powered up. This will also minimize the amount of 120v that you have to work with and having to find the 1W resistor. These are pretty common in home improvement centers.

I used a Sumbeam heating pad for the 'heat strip' On high it will get to just over 50 C and gives me another layer of protection.
