RE: [APML] Photoshop 7

Bert,

Thanks for the reply. Based on what I read in an email from Adobe and via Photoshop User magazine I didn’t think there was a major difference that would be useful for what I do. To bad, it would have been nice to have layers available in 16 bit mode.

Hi Scott:

I'm sure Jerry Lodriguss is working with it and I suspect lots of others, but IMO it's not that big an advance over 6.0. I upgraded to v 7 just to stay up-to-date. I think it loads faster than v 6. The only tool I've used in v 7 that wasn't in v 6 is the "healing tool" and I don't think that it's all that big an improvement. (It's a kind of intelligent clone stamp tool.)  I haven't tried out any of the other new stuff --- I think there is a better thumbnail organizer and a print organizer --- too busy to check it all out.

I noticed that Bert is now using Photoshop 7, anyone else out there using the new version yet? I downloaded a 30 day trial version a couple of days ago, but haven’t had much chance to check it out. I’d be interested in hearing comments on whether it’s worth the upgrade, currently I’m using version 6?  What do you think Bert?
