Re: [APML] Orion

Scott,

Nice shot!  Glad to see your getting some photo time in on the new scope!!  What are you using for a mount since the last time we emailed you were without one?  I've been catching up on old emails so I don't know all the responses you already got but the raw file looks like there's a lot more there than you see in the processed version.  Maybe went too far with the curves?

Looks

Subject: [APML] Orion

This is my first attempt shooting through my NP101. I had some problems the first night with what I believe to have been a bad light leak. (corrected the second night with black electrical tape on the camera back)  This image was taken with hypered Royal Gold 200 and was one of the images that managed to survive from the first night. Comments please on the processing and focus. I used a Mitsuboshi KEF at the suggestion of Matt, very nice piece of equipment. http://www.creatorsview.com/Pages/demo.html

If you’d like to see the light leak images, www.creatorsview.com/astrophotos/cav/np_images.html

These are unprocessed scans.

Thanks,

Scott Hammonds
