Re: [APML] 1st BRC mosaic: heart & baby

Jon,

I've checked my collimation every year for three years now and so far it's
looked exactly the same, no shift at all. It's not collimated perfectly but
it is close enough that I'm not planning on touching it. The diffraction
pattern looks very symmetrical and I see no problem with the images.

On another related point, I now want to clean the optics and I'm figuring
out how to do that without removing them. There's 3 years of dirt on them.
Any suggestions on this? So far, I plan to just remove the flattening lens
and dew shield tube. Then go at it the primary with alcohol and swabs. I
haven't checked the secondary yet but I suspect it's cleaner than the
primary. If it needs cleaning, I'll try to do that "blind".

But no way will I remove the optics.

Steve...
