I am currently considering the purchase of an off
axis guider, having decided not to go down the path of a separate guidescope
just yet.
The two choices that I am looking at are the
Celestron Radial Guider or the Meade Off Axis Guider.
My OTA is a Celestron SCT 9.25 inch installed on a
Losmandy GM8 equatorial mount and I tend to use the F6.3 focal reducer for most
prime focus shots.
My research thusfar indicates that
the Celestron RG is the better unit as it appears to have more flexibility
with adjustments than the Meade OAG (though it is more
expensive!).
Any thoughts, recommendations or
experiences to assist with this purchase?
Many Thanks,
Rodney W.
