RE: [APML] orange halo's



I’ll give that a try Jim. I hate to lose all 4 of the images I took!

 

Focal length on the NP101 is 540mm, f5.4. It’s a nice change from the f10.

Scott I'm working right now on exactly the same image. Shot mine with a Takahashi at 45min and f/3.3.  Will be interesting to compare results. Almost the same focal length isn't it?

    Use the majic want to select just the stars and make color and saturation adjustments...

I took 4 shots of the Horsehead region last week and had 2 failures due to light leak issues, 1 failure due to dew collecting on the lens. The only survivor has orange halos around the brightest stars in the image and maybe more.

Could it be moisture? The stars looked a lot like blobs that night.
