John, 400asa is ok for the schmidt, if you stack negs to cut the grain a bit.  PJ400 is a bit granular, but MUCH less than the old PPF 400!
 
The good news is our local Walmart developed this for less than $2.  I cant do that if I do it myself.

Excellent Chris! That is a great first-light image! I haven't considered using anything as fast as 400 in the Schmidt, I may have to reconsider. 8 minutes at f1.5 using 400ASA? Wow. You must have truly dark skies.
