Excellent Chris! That is a great first-light image! I haven't considered using anything as fast as 400 in the Schmidt, I may have to reconsider. 8 minutes at f1.5 using 400ASA? Wow. You must have truly dark skies.

Well, after over six months of hard work building the new observatory, we finally took our first light images with the schmidt camera.  I am very pleased with these initial results, and with a bit of work, look forward to even better upcomming results!  I am pleased to share the following first image with you:
