    There's always tech pan! Your 3-5 hour exposures at f10 on tech pan
would probably blow your socks off.... With LRGB imaging at your focal
length, you could probably even get by with Konica 3200 for the colour data!

Always a pleasure to see your shots, thanks. After
looking at the links you guys supplied, I checked my
negative. You know what? Even with a 320 minute
exposure, I did not pick up any of the red stuff. It's
clear the entire area is loaded with it. Maybe a
faster system would come in handy here. I don't think
I'll be going after any Sharpless objects with the LX.
:-)

Still trying to find out if NGC 2264 is the
designation for the Cone itself, or of the nearby
cluster, or even of something else. Anybody?
