Re: [APML] Speeding up film - examples

George;
    I look forward to your results. I tried Provia 400 with my 8" f6 Newt
and Provia 100 with my 8" Schmidt. I wasn't really happy with either film.
E200 proved better than both - for me. Shots were taken near freezing. (back
in August) A film testing box will certainly help establish whether or not
Provia is improved with lower temperatures. I don't believe that I have ever
taken an astrophoto under conditions as hot as 20C! I could probably get
used to it though....

If the current weather pattern for Montreal holds and if I can knock
together one of Robert Reeve's film testing boxes in the next day or two
I should be able to test Provia at +20c, 0c, and -10c by the end of the
week. I'll cold soak the camera at the lower temps for at least two
hours prior to shooting. We went from summer to winter temps in less
than a week, if only we could have clear skies during the dark of the
moon. It is snowing right now...
