Re: [APML] New IC1396 Halpha mosaic
Hello together!
I read here already for a long time also, but never went actively into
action on this list.
That's why I wanna introduce myself: My name is André Walczak, I am 22 years
old, my homeland is Germany.
I still haven't got a website, but I'm workin' on it already!
But now to the reason of my appearance:
Lorenzo, this of course is a really beautiful image of IC1396! But at the
moment, I'm more interested in the lens, which was
used to take this picture.
You wrote, that a Canon 300 f/2,8 lens was used for this, right?
Have you ever made images with this lens, using 35mm film?
I'm asking, because I have the chance to buy a 300mm f/2,8 Canon FD lens for
a very cheap price.
Does this lens produce sharp stars in the corners of the 35mm frame?
I already have a Zeiss Sonnar 300mm f/4, because of this I only will have a
use for the Canon lens, if it is usable at full speed!
So I would be grateful, if someone could tell me something about the
qualities of this lens for AP.
Thanks.
clear skies!
André
