Re: [APML] Payment for astrophotos - Docs
And Rob jumped the gun with me--I definitely did not say I didn't admire the
Docs with huge incomes. What's not to admire? :-) I admire the small town
Doc who doesn't make a lot of money AND I admire the specialist who worked
hard to make big bucks. I also had a father-in-law who built a large
hospital in Dallas which I represented. I am all too familiar with not only
the many legitimate medical mistakes that result in lawsuits but the ones
that get covered up by the Docs--a lot of them. As far as I know, however,
Dr Gendler has never made a serious mistake and I do know he is one hell of
an astrophotographer.
And, finally, he is picking on the wrong group--lawyers don't set huge
damage awards, juries do. If juries wanted to, they could throw ANY case out
of court. Try and get a Doc to testify against another even when there has
been a serious screw-up. I go after the IRS for clients. Perhaps the Doc
thinks we should dump all tax lawyers and pay whatever the IRS thinks it
wants? :-) Bet he has one though or at least an accountant. Soapbox now off.
Andy
