Lots of these experiences --- I had a european consortium of shipping
companies contact me about using a dolphin photo that they saw  on my web
site. They said that they were a "nonprofit consortium" so could they have
it for nothing! A "nonprofit consortium" of shipping companies that probably
have cash flows in the billions annually! I asked $25 as a nominal fee and
never heard from them again. Talk about cheap!
