Well after getting all of the good advice I measured my camera in the metrology lab where I work and ordered the Hutech knife edge unit (and yes I did compensate for the film thickness :-) ). I'm getting the unit for my Minolta SRT-102 because I've had more consistant results with it then my Nikon F and the Nikon lacks a true mirror lock-up. It should get here before I get a clear night so I'll let you all know the results...
