[APML] Finally got my Leonid slides
Hi All,
It's been a while since I've posted anything (I was seduced by the dark
side for a while), but with the Leonids last weekend I went back to using film.
This was the best meteor I had in all of my pictures, and it would be the
one that went off of the edge of the film! Image was taken with a Pentax
K-1000 on Ektachrome 200 through a 28mm Bushnell lens at f/1.8. Slide was
scanned with a Polaroid SprintScan 35LE. It was a 10 minute exposure.

I also tried some while tracking unguided on my DobDriver/EQ Wedge
combination. Despite the great tracking, the meteors are barely visible
because of the small image scale. There is a faint one visible between
Orion and Canis Major, but just barely (on the slide, two are visible, but
the scanner didn't pick both up). Used same setup as above (except for
being guided).

I have, more to scan and process, but I'll just post a page with thumbnails
if anyone is interested in seeing them.
Clear skies,
TOM
