One of my projects during the Leonid Meteors was to shoot Ursa Major during maximum activity for 30 minutes, divided into 5 minute intervals. I used a 50mm f/1.4 stopped down to f/2. I have "assembled" all the meteors that recorded during the 30 minutes paying extreme attention to where they are... since this is a guided image it was fairly easy to guarantee placement by comparing frames. To my surprise the 50mm also recorded M51 and M101 which I have marked. The image is at:

      Hope you like it,

Thats great.   It makes my Ursa Major pale by comparison.  I got my film back today and the fogging from the sky glow was bad.   I had two decent photos.   The highly ironic thing is it appears that one of them is the same meteor that I captured on my digital camera.

Take a look at:    <http://www.miraclez.com/~rwm/Leonids/index.html>

The film shots are near the bottom.

Thanks,
Rob
