If the key deep discharge battery consideration is the thickness of the lead
plates as others have pointed out, why is your system so expensive? Lead is
very cheap. :-) BTW, I've had a big Sam's deep cycle marine battery that I
have not been able to wear out in 5 years of "discharge abuse". At some
point IMHO, you just quit worrying about discharge theory, buy a new one if
you have trouble--$49--and move on down the road. :-)
