[APML] Star Shaping

I've written an article on star shaping. I invite you to read it and to
provide feedback, please.

I've mentioned the star shaping technique on a number of occasions, and
have received a number of questions about it. I can tell you that a
number of other folks on the APML have been using a similar technique,
as can be seen in their web images on close inspection. It took me a
while to write this article, because as you will see, I think a lot of
detailed explanation was needed. I also have tried to simplify the
technique as much as possible, so that non-experts in Photoshop can use
it. One does need to learn a bit about layers to use this technique,
and I tried to spell out how to do it. In that sense, the article also
serves as an introduction to layers.

Right now, I've only developed the technique for Photoshop, as I do not
use Picture Window. If anyone would care to describe how this would be
done in PW (or any other tool), I'm sure its users would appreciate
that.

P.S. I wish to acknowledge the helpful feedback I received from John
Boudreau and Mike Cook.
