Thank you Matt! Based on this info I found the reference for it in the 
original paper. Here it is:

Another name for "The Monoceros Ring" or "The Monoceros Supernova Remnant" is 
Downes 14.

(BTW, IC 443 is also called VMT 9.)

I agree, the ring is as distinct as it gets in that image! Take a look at 
plate 9 in the reference article above to view the image there.
