It's a great article, but it's too bad some of the really great aurora
phototgraphers like Arne and Stan didn't get in it (not that NG has any idea
who they are, but it would be nice if they did).  I think some of the "real
world" beauty of this phenomena is missed when most of the images come from
a small set of far north locations or from high-dollar government gizmos.  I
think there would have been an equal or greater appeal to NG's advertised
audience if more of the images were from ground-based photographers in more
diverse, pedestrian locations.  Nevertheless, it's a pretty darn cool
feature.

Some of the diagrams seemed to explain why Glenn in Fairbanks doesn't see
squat when us mere lowlats are getting the big show.

The hippo article was pretty cool, too.
