Hi Matt,
I've developed some new techniques that I want to do in 16 bits.
Any adjustments you do to an image throw data away.
It's better to do EVERYTHING in 16 bits, and then, the very last step
before you save the image should be moving it from 16 bits to 8 bits.
Of course, these comments are only directed at the really anal-retentive
among us. <G>
