Are you kidding me!! I was just got back
from Yosemite last night after spending three days there. Spent every
evening doing some nightscape images. Had great clear dark nights but no
aurora. Crap!!!

Holy Aurora!!!!!
Starting at 6:45 Pacific
Time the sky to the north lit up with this blood red glow which soon
migrated to the NW and then to the NE until the whole horizon was lit up!
White shafts of light would come and go... the show went on for about an
hour... slowly faded... then at 8:15 another burst of activity with amazing
shafts of light... during this entire time there was a bright green glow
underneath the red... we are blown away! This show was in Northern
California...I can't even imagine what it must have been like further
north.
